Affiliate disclosure
Last updated 20 October 2026
As of today there are no affiliate links on this site and PewBuild earns nothing. Applications to affiliate programmes are in progress. This page is published now so the arrangement is on the record before the first link, not after.
How it will work
Some outbound links to retailers and manufacturers will be affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, PewBuild may earn a commission.
You pay the same price either way. The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your total.
The part that matters
A fit verdict is produced by the compatibility engine from recorded specifications. The engine has no knowledge of commissions. It cannot read them, is not passed them, and does not rank by them. A part that does not fit is reported as not fitting regardless of what a link to it would pay.
Likewise, parts are not ordered by commission. The picker lists parts with a recorded source before demonstration parts, and parts that fit before parts that conflict. That is the whole ordering.
We think a configurator that quietly favoured the best-paying part would be worthless, and worthless quickly, because the first time it recommended something that did not fit you would stop trusting it.
Where links will be marked
Affiliate links will be identified where they appear, not only on this page, so you know before you click rather than afterwards.
What this does not change
- Specifications still come from manufacturers' own published pages, with a source URL and a retrieval date on every record.
- An unrecorded specification still reports as unknown and never as compatible.
- No manufacturer or retailer has editorial input. Paying a commission does not buy a verdict, a ranking, or a place in the catalog.
When this page changes
When the first programme is approved, this page will name it, say what it covers, and note what the network's cookie does — and the privacy policy will be updated the same day.
